چکیده

The rapid advancement in information technology, communication, and electronic devices elevates the need to develop suitable materials for microwave absorption (MA) which should have properties of an ideal absorber. Porous activated carbon from agricultural wastes has piqued interest MA researchers due their distinct such as good specific surface area, high dielectric loss, electrical conductivity, low density. Herein banana peel was prepared by activating precursor with KOH carbonizing at different temperatures. difference porous structure varying carbonization temperature visible FESEM image, validated BET analysis. Banana Peel Activated samples exhibited performance, BP-AC700 displaying a minimum Reflection Loss (RL) −40.62 dB 10.72 GHz & 3.0 mm thickness. In addition, obtained effective bandwidth 3.5 spanned through X band frequency. This exceptional attained sample's conductive loss favourable morphology. study inspires development future facile functional waste-derived absorbers.

Dielectric properties of soils at X-band microwave frequency

Measurements of real (ε′) and imaginary (ε’’) parts of the complex dielectric constant (ε*) of soil with varied moisture content have been made at 9.44 GHz using infinite sample method. The electrical properties of dry soil samples are found to be in good agreement with the earlier work. The values of ε′ and ε′′ first increase slowly and then increase rapidly with moisture content. From this da...

Nitrogen-Doped Banana Peel–Derived Porous Carbon Foam as Binder-Free Electrode for Supercapacitors

Nitrogen-doped banana peel-derived porous carbon foam (N-BPPCF) successfully prepared from banana peels is used as a binder-free electrode for supercapacitors. The N-BPPCF exhibits superior performance including high specific surface areas of 1357.6 m²/g, large pore volume of 0.77 cm³/g, suitable mesopore size distributions around 3.9 nm, and super hydrophilicity with nitrogen-containing functi...

Development of numerical model for the complex permittivity of the carbon nanocomposites at microwave frequency band

In this paper, we have studied on the numerical model for the complex permittivity of carbon nanocomposites in microwave frequency band based on the percolation theory. The model was built up for complex permittivity of E-glass fabric/epoxy composite laminates containing carbon black (CB), carbon nanofiber (CNF) at the frequency band of 0.5 GHz ~ 18.0 GHz. It is composed of the numerical equati...

The impact of different multi-walled carbon nanotubes on the X-band microwave absorption of their epoxy nanocomposites

BACKGROUND Carbon nanotube (CNT) characteristics, besides the processing conditions, can change significantly the microwave absorption behavior of CNT/polymer composites. In this study, we investigated the influence of three commercial multi-walled CNT materials with various diameters and length-to-diameter aspect ratios on the X-band microwave absorption of epoxy nanocomposites with CNT conten...
